Regarding Reuters’ media coverage of “United States of America Plans to Sell Taiwan 108 units of M1A2 Tanks, 1,240 TOW Missiles, 409 Javelin Missiles, and 250 Stinger Missiles”, Ministry of National Defense has stated today (6^th) that it has proposed LOR for LOR for the above-mentioned 4 military procurements, and the procurements are being implemented smoothly according to the military procurement procedure.

Ministry of National Defense emphasized that the United States of America continues to provide Taiwan with defensive weapons on the basis of “Taiwan Relations Act” and “Six Assurances”, which helps with elevating the combat capability of the Republic of China Armed Forces, as well as solidifying the partnership between Taiwan and the United States of America, ensuring national security and maintaining regional peacefulness and stability.
